What a fun weekend we've had..especially listening to conference. I always love to hear from President Monson (he has always had a special place in my heart). Mackenzie and Ian invited Brad and I along with Zac and his family to listen to the last session of conference on Sunday. Of course, Kenzie had prepared a feast...wow she is a fabulous cook! How did that happen..she didn't inherit that gene from me. But how fun it was to be gathered together as a famly to listen to tiny giggeling voices and to hear council from our dear prophet and apostles.
As the opening prayer was being said, the thought entered my mind that over 13 million people were praying and hearing the opening prayer at the same time...wow...now that is one powerful prayer for the Lord to stand up and pay attention to. Not that he doesn't hear our single prayers from the smallest to the tallest of prayers. HOW POWERFUL!

I loved spending time with my family and enjoying the moments of quiet joy...Mackenzie, Sadie and Olivia were scrapbooking..Zac had Sam in his arms sound asleep, resting. Jackson dressed up as his favorite super hero Batman and Tiffany and Ian listening intensely to the council given. Grandpa Brad nodding off and on.
I also felt for a fleeting moment how our heavenly father must feel, when his children are obedient. The love and joy he must feel. A feeling of love overwhelmed me, as I watched my small family living and loving life together. The message of President Monson saying that we should "Find Joy in the Journey", made me realize that life is precious and each moment we should treasure.
So my friends, take heed to what the Prophet said and start today to find joy in your journey of life.
